What this 283-acre freshwater gem lacks in size, it makes up for in luxury, character, and charm.  Centered at the heart of East Grand Rapids, Reeds Lake is a local West Michigan hotspot — not just for its beautiful waters, but for the dining, nightlife, and other amenities all within a scenic, enjoyable walk of the Lake in nearby Gaslight Village.

Local favorites include Rose’s On Reeds Lake (a casual upscale restaurant perched perfectly on the water, featuring an open-air nautical-style deck with gas fireplaces and soft seating, extensive wine and craft beer list, and impressive menu), or other nearby restaurants within a short walk, including Derby Station and Olive’s.  You’ll even find an old-fashioned ice cream shop with hand-dipped flavors and a selection of nostalgic candies — Jersey Junction — where you can enjoy a cool treat after a day of boating or paddling on the lake.

On Reeds Lake, you’ll enjoy the sights of beautiful trumpeter swans and great blue herons, while, in the water, you’ll find Northern Pike and Largemouth Bass.  On warm summer days, you’ll notice residents paddle boarding or boating their way across the sparkling waters to Rose’s for a bite to eat or a craft brew.

Those who call Reeds Lake home (or even just the weekend escape!) also enjoy the nearby Reeds Lake Trail, perfect for a walk, run, or bike ride around the lake.  This gorgeous, wooded, and beyond-scenic trail features a 4.2-mile long combination of paved trails, boardwalks, and sidewalks.  Reeds Lake is also home to the Grand Rapids Yacht Club, positioned on the lake’s west shore between Collins Park and the East Grand Rapids Public Library.
