Where better to pick your very own piece of waterfront heaven than on southwest Michigan’s largest inland lake?  This stunning sandy-bottom lake covers 2,680 acres of surface water, reaching depths of up to 66 feet.  With over two-dozen miles of shoreline (and several secluded islands), Gun Lake is sought after by both residents and vacationers for its convenient location, size, fishery, and many community amenities.

Two large bodies of water (East and West Gun Lake) join up with several islands (Blackbird, Orangeville, and Yankee Springs) and several channels to make up this expansive natural beauty lake.  Gun Lake’s own Yankee Spring Recreation Area and Barry State Game Area offer over 22,000 acres of wetlands and woodlands, providing the perfect backdrop for horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, camping, hunting, and plenty of other ways to connect with the great outdoors.

Positioned between Grand Rapids (to the North) and Kalamazoo (to the South), Gun Lake is also home to Gun Lake Casino — a nearby favorite for entertainment.  Just a few miles away you’ll also find other fun outings, like Waldorff’s Brew Pub in Hastings – home to legendary wood-fired pizzas and eclectic craft brews.
